Home air conditioning in Settle, Skipton and the Ribble Valley
Air conditioning that cools the room in summer and heats it in winter. Fitted properly, in ordinary houses, across the Yorkshire Dales and the Ribble Valley.
The whole idea
One system. Warm in winter, cool in summer.
The room stays the same all year. What changes is outside.
Inside
19°
Cooling · 28° outside
In July
Outside it is 28°. The unit high on the wall is moving heat out of the room, quietly. Inside stays at 19°.
In January
Outside it is 2°. The same unit runs in reverse, drawing warmth from the outside air. Inside holds 22°.
One appliance, both jobs. That is what makes it worth putting in.
Rooms, not products
The room you stopped using, back in use.
Most people have one room in mind. It is usually the one that is unbearable in July and freezing in November.
Conservatories
A conservatory is mostly glass, and glass holds nothing. By late morning in June it is too warm to sit in. By November it is the coldest room in the house and the door stays shut.
One discreet unit, high on the wall, changes that. Cool enough to sit in through July. Warm enough for breakfast in January. The room you paid for, open all twelve months.

A local firm
Based here, not sent over
Catrigg Air Conditioning is based in Langcliffe, just outside Settle. We cover the Dales and the Ribble Valley ourselves.
You are not waiting on somebody driving over from Leeds or Manchester, and you are not booking through a call centre that passes the job to whoever is nearest on the day.
Questions
Questions people ask
Does it heat as well as cool?
Yes. The same appliance cools the room in summer and heats it in winter, which is what makes it worth putting in.
Is the site survey free?
Yes. The survey is free and there is no obligation at the end of it.
How much does it cost?
We look at the room first, then give you an itemised quote, written line by line: equipment, materials and labour. There is nothing to pay until you have decided.
Which areas do you cover?
We are based in Langcliffe and work in Settle, Giggleswick, Ingleton, Bentham, Skipton, Gargrave, Hellifield, Long Preston, Barnoldswick, Clitheroe, Whalley, Kirkby Lonsdale, Kendal and Ilkley. If you are just outside that list, ask anyway.
Which room is giving you trouble?
Tell us about it and we will come and look. The survey is free and the quote is itemised.
